Chadash Enterprise
The name Chadash Enterprise comes from the Hebrew word, “Chadash”, which means, to renew, repair, restore or facilitate the process of taking something back to its original (better) state (Isaiah 43:19, KJV). We are registered with the Companies and Intellectual Properties Commission as a Ltd.Pty (registration number 2022/648733/07).
The overarching aim of the enterprise is to improve employee health and wellness, by providing a comprehensive and support service that ensures a long-term, quantifiable impact on the health and wellness of employees of any company. This will, in turn, contribute to a healthy workforce that can promote the vision of the company. The end goal is to improve the morbidity and mortality related to lifestyle or infectious diseases in South Africa.
Dr Gerald J. Maarman
Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and Founder
Dr Gerald J. Maarman is a biomedical researcher with a PhD in cardiovascular physiology in medicine, and he is accredited and trained by the National Institute of Health (USA) for Human Subjects Protection (NIH HSP) and CREDE® for Good Clinical Practice (GCP).
Dr Maarman was also the research manager for the world’s first and largest HIV prevention trial and therefore has up-to-date knowledge on HIV and TB prevention strategies.
Dr Maarman is an NRF-rated researcher with international standing. He serves as the secretary of the South Africa Society for Cardiovascular Research in Africa (SASCAR), a member of the South African Heart Association, the American Thoracic Society, the European Society of Cardiology, the Physiological Society of Southern Africa (PSSA), and is a faculty member of the Pulmonary Vascular Research Institute’s Global Taskforce for Pulmonary Vascular Infections with a focus on cardiac diseases, and COVID19.
He is also a member of the following professional bodies: the American Heart Association, American College of Chest Physicians, American Thoracic Society, and the European Society of Cardiology.
Mrs Tamlin J. Maarman
Chief Operating Officer (COO)
Mrs Tamlin J. Maarman is a qualified scientist with SACNASP accreditation, with extensive experience in routine laboratory testing of commercial food products, staff supervision, quality assurance, monitoring and evaluation and service delivery.
Tamlin’s qualifications include the following a National Diploma in Analytical Chemistry (CPUT), Baccalaureus Technologiae in Quality (CPUT), Health and Safety Management (CPUT), and Baccalaureus Technologiae in Chemistry (CPUT.
